Matters needing attention for prolonging the service life of the generator set

How to extend the service life of a newly bought diesel generator to extend the generator set:



1. preparatory work before starting



(1) the operators of the machine room should abide by the safety regulations, wear the work clothes and insulating shoes, and the crew should have a clear division of labor.



(2) check whether the protective railing cover of the flywheel and the generator is in good condition.



(3) check the gearbox, clutch, governor, oil level, each fastener and so on, confirm well, when the oil and water temperature is not less than 20 degrees, it can be started.



(4) the pipe gate of each system is set in the "work" position.



(5) check the link bolt of the transmission mechanism and fasten it well.



(6) whether the pressure of the clutch handle is normal, and whether the overspeed insurance device is located.



(7) check whether the pressure of the cylinder is normal, and whether the overspeed insurance device is located.



(8) open the exhaust valve of the pump.



(9) check whether the circulating water pump, the oil pump and the fuel pump are normal.



(10) the excitation resistance is placed at the maximum resistance position and the power switch is disconnected.



2. starting and running operations



(1) for a unit with more than 24h shutdown, the test valve should be opened first and the starter oil pump. The insulation resistance of the exciter and operating circuit should be measured for a unit with a shutdown for more than 7 days, which must meet the requirements.



(2) start the fuel pump, release the air in the pipeline, and observe whether the voltage is within the specified range. If normal, it can be formally started.



(3) see if the voltage of the starting power is in accordance with the requirements. If the voltage is normal, the diesel engine, such as the starting button, is loosed after the normal operation of the diesel engine



(4) when the diesel engine is running, observe the indication value of the oil pressure gauge. When the value rises above the specified value, stop the oil pump and close the scavenging pump blow down valve and wear the front clutch screw.



(5) when the generator is started, the generator and all the electrical equipment have been charged, and the human body is not allowed to contact the charged part.



(6) after the starting of the generator, the speed of the diesel engine should be gradually improved and the inspection before the power supply should be carried out.



(7) the rotational speed of diesel engine is gradually adjusted, but it should be observed to observe the normal operation of the generator in the adjustment. In normal, the brush on the collector ring and commutator should have no beating, no sparking and no abnormal sound.



(8) to adjust the output voltage and frequency of the generator, the voltage value should be stable and reach 380v+-10v, and the frequency should reach 50Hz+-0.5Hz.
